Fans lined Hollywood Blvd to catch a glimpse of their favorite stars at the premiere of Pain and Gain, starring Mark Wahlberg, Dwayne Johnson and Anthony Mackie. Pain and Gain is based on a true story and follows Miami body builders in an escapade to make a quick score, who soon enter into a violent world of corruption and murder.

At TCL Chinese Theater, many notable celebrities walked the silver carpet including Ed Harris, with his wife Amy Madigan, Mark Wahlberg, Rebel Wilson, Tony Shalhoub, Russell Simmons and Vivica A. Fox.

Mark Wahlberg was definitely dressed for the occasion in a sophisticated navy suit and baby blue tie. Fan favorite Rebel Wilson waved to the cheering crowd as she walked the carpet, looking beautiful in her red sequined dress. Bar Paly seemed to glide along the carpet and looked stunning in her sheer lavender gown. Anthony Mackie took time to mingle with fellow cast mates as he traveled down the carpet.

Also gracing the carpet was iconic media mogul Sumner Redstone who is the majority owner of Paramount Pictures, CBS and Viacom, just to name a few. Dwayne Johnson was unable to attend the premiere due to an abdominal injury with surgery scheduled for next week.

This latest Michael Bay, film combines action and comedy while portraying a real world Miami story of a kidnapping plot gone wrong. Inspired by several Miami New Times articles written in 1999, Pain and Gain tells the story of members of the 'Sun Gym Gang', two of which are currently sitting on death row.

Opening in theaters on Friday April 26th, Pain and Gain was directed by the renowned Michael Bay, with the screenplay written by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely. Pain and Gain is distributed by Paramount Pictures and is rated R for bloody violence and language.

Incidentally, Pain and Gain is slated to be one of the last premieres at TCL Chinese Theater before it undergoes planned renovation beginning at the end of the month. This marks a historic change for the iconic theater.
