Fantasy of Lights

The Tempe Fire Department helped to kick off the holiday season during the Tempe Fantasy of Lights Parade held on November 27, 2010. The parade took place on a beautiful Saturday night along Mill Avenue between 3rd street and 7th street in downtown Tempe, AZ. A large crowd lined the street to watch the parade, which included a variety of lighted floats, children from various clubs dressed up in holiday costumes and even the Tempe Mayor doing a few cartwheels.

PAPA Parade

A "Mourning Fyre" performer shows her talents at the Phoenix Annual Parade of the Arts (i.e. PAPA) in downtown Phoenix Arizona. The 5th annual PAPA took place on the evening of November 13th, 2010. The parade began at the intersection of Roosevelt and 5th Street, continued along the streets of downtown Phoenix, and ended where it began. The festivities included live music and dance, a bounce house and sidewalk chalk for the kids, jugglers, performers on stilts and many unique floats and costumes.

SEMA Drifting

Ken Block driving a Ford Fiesta showing some of the abilities he has in Las Vegas. Ken Block was drifting around a section of parking lot outside the Las Vegas convention center during the SEMA 2010 events. SEMA 2010 was held from November 2nd till November 5th. He had to leave the events at SEMA early to compete in a rally race in England. Good luck Ken.
New View of Hoover

The newly completed Hoover Dam bypass bridge offers a new view of the Hoover Dam. The bridge was officially open for traffic early in November. They have constructed a pedestrian walkway to view the Hoover Dam still. The pedestrian walkway is accessible after a short walk from a parking lot located just west of the bridge. The bridge was dedicated to Mike O'Callaghan and Pat Tillman.
